Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird

The first thing you see after you pay for admission is an SR-71, hanging from the ceiling over the entrance. If you've never seen one in person, it's hard to grasp how big this airplane is, with a 55.6 foot wingspan, and length of 107.4 feet.

So much has been written about this famous spy plane, there is little point in repeating any of it here. But it is a grand first impression.
